As a graphic design student at the University of Sunderland, I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project commissioned by the Sunderland Creatives Agency. Tasked with creating a vinyl mural for the newly relocated Student Union within the Prospect Building, my role involved bringing the space to life with a design that was both functional and visually captivating.
My design incorporated local landmarks and included quotes and highlights from the SU team, ensuring that the mural not only reflected the spirit of the university but also served a practical purpose. Key features of the mural included directional signage to assist students in navigating the space, which was a critical aspect of the brief.
Working closely with the Sunderland Creatives Agency, I developed several design concepts to meet the client's needs. This collaborative process allowed me to refine my ideas and deliver a final design that exceeded expectations. The agency team provided invaluable support throughout, making it an enriching experience that significantly advanced my professional practice.
