A Hub for Local Events and Creative Opportunities
A conceptual platform that merges digital and physical media to foster a vibrant community of engaged users, inspiring them to participate in local events and creative workshops.
The name "SPACES" carries multiple meanings, from unsold tickets at events to physical locations such as galleries. It also embodies the concept of encouraging individuals to take up space within the creative industry. The branding for SPACES was developed to be bold yet approachable. Its simplicity makes it legible, versatile and easily adaptable for use in both digital and physical media.
SPACES operates as a comprehensive website designed to serve as a central hub for discovering and engaging with local events, workshops, and creative spaces. This project was inspired by my own experiences with creative venues and the challenge of tracking events through fragmented sources of information. SPACES simplifies the event discovery process by consolidating various listings into a single, user-friendly platform. This allows users to easily find and attend events based on their preferences, whether they’re planning ahead or making last-minute decisions.
The site is divided into three main sections: Events, Workshops, and Downloads. These sections are easily accessible through a clear, intuitive menu, allowing users to explore current and upcoming events, engage in creative exploration and skill development, and access content that emphasises the importance of creativity.
To further engage users, I produced a seasonal magazine aimed at showcasing events and workshops over a broader timeline, such as Spring/Summer. This physical publication is intended for distribution in places like coffee shops, where casual browsers can discover new activities or simply enjoy the content. 
 To promote the SPACES concept, I developed several digital assets tailored for different platforms. I created an animated video for social media channels such as Instagram Reels and TikTok, designed to inspire creativity and showcase the diverse range of events hosted on SPACES. If fully produced, the video would feature real snippets from actual events, building excitement and anticipation among potential users.
I also produced GIF's for Instagram that use dynamic visuals to engage users. The animation repeats in a loop, encouraging viewers to pause and read the content, making it an effective tool for promoting workshops and drawing attention to the platform.

Beyond digital promotion, I expanded SPACES’ reach through both physical and downloadable assets. 
I designed a digital poster that users can easily download and share among friends. This helps promote SPACES while also driving traffic to the website. The webpage also offers easy 'at-home' downloads for individuals whose personal circumstances limit their ability to attend in-person events, or for those who prefer to start small with creative activities at home.
